Hello Chess is a chess coach in your pocket. Climb a real rank against bots from beginner to grandmaster, or tap any piece and watch the coach draw its best moves on the board.
Two ways to play
♟ Play — climb your rank
Pick any opponent from 250 to 3190, or hit “Match my rank”. Every rated game moves your rank up or down. Bots get genuinely stronger as you go — powered by the Stockfish engine.
➶ Coach — see the line
Tap one of your pieces. The engine checks every move that piece can make and draws the good ones as arrows, from best to average. Bad moves are never suggested.
How it teaches
- BestThe engine's top move. Thick solid line, badge #1.
- ExcellentAlmost as good — within a third of a pawn.
- GoodA solid, useful choice. Dashed line.
- AveragePlayable, but there's better. Dotted line.
Every line also carries a number and a label, so you never need to rely on color alone. After each move you get a one-line tip (“develops a piece”, “leaves your queen hanging”) and the opening name when there is one.
Ranks
Everyone starts at 800. Your rank, stats and games stay on your device — no account needed. Install it to your home screen and it works like an app.
